Decline in Male Fertility
The player will show in this paragraph
Research shows that sperm count and sperm quality in men has been declining in the past 50 years. Causes of this trend can be found in men's lifestyle and the environment. Smoking, alcohol, hair loss medication, opiates, illnesses and stress are some of the commonly known causes to decrease sperm count in men. Some pesticides mimic hormones that can affect sperm growth and quality. For the first time, studies show that sperm quality can be negatively affected by BPA, contained in many plastic products such as water bottles. Dr. Turek comments that male infertility is often curable. His advice to men: Take care of your body as well as as you take care of your car.
