A Window into Male Infertility
Men's infertility specialist Dr. Paul Turek appears on View From the Bay (KGO TV/Channel 7 San Francisco) to provide a window into male infertility and how it may be a symptom of more serious men's health concerns.
About one third of infertility problems are due to men's infertility issues, so men should be evaluated along with their spouse during the initial infertility review. A men's health evaluation can identify and cure men's infertility issues. But men's infertility symptoms can also pick up other health issues and predict future problems. For example, infertile men are three times more likely to have testicular cancer later in life. Research also indicates a connection between male infertility and prostate cancer. Regular testicular self examination is important as well as regular men's health maintenance to help men stay healthy.
